Construction of the Elementary-School Mittelhaan

...incl. Music-School from April 2010 to July 2011 (estimated) for the Municipality of Haan.

The tender was a PPP-procedure. The size of order includes the bridging finance and the permanent financing and the maintenance of the building for 25 years.

The building replaces the previous school-building with nursery school and the music-school. The building is going to have a brick facade with colour matching plastic-windows and an aluminum facade at the entrance, anti-burglar windows and door installations. The client attached importance to longevity and energy-efficiency The preliminary design of the client was only slightly optimised by us. He implements all requirements from the room book on the tight plot with only two storeys and gets place for a spacious number of parking places and a schoolyard with manifold play areas. Due to the very detailed planning, it was possible to conserve most of the precious tree population on the plot and at the adjacent Goethestraße.
